Jack Carel – Trip Cops [Fill-Lex Records]

Jack Carel joins the catalogue of the Valencian label Fill-Lex Records with a 6-track mini-album in which the Israeli producer exhibits a great capacity to generate sounds, textures and rhythms from diverse influences such as electro, industrial, IDM or EBM, proving that the barrier between different musical genres only exists for those artists or consumers of beats who try to safeguard the original identity of a style. On Somewhere Out Here each track is a different project, a different approach and a different interpretation.

Jack makes a complex homage to the most experimental music, mixing textures and frequencies, as can be heard in the introductory song of the album, «All Eyes», or closing the side with «Sand Storm» with more raw and industrial dyes typical of EBM and industrial electro. Turning the cassette over, we find a more bizarre Carel, with tracks like «No Return» where their sharp hi hats, together with a penetrating melody will make you dance like a madman. With «Tri Cops» they lower the revolutions again and light the fuse of the musical density typical of industrial experimental music.
