SPIME.IM – ZERO [-OUS]
Turin-based media art collective SPIME.IM set out the cornerstones of their trajectory: from crumbling glitches and breathless machine funk circa 2050 to hyper-charged synthesizers, fluorescent hardcore and vast, forceful ambient: SPIME.IM’s propulsive sound is crystal clear, balancing human-scale harmonies with digital artefacts.
ZERO is both SPIME.IM’s starting point, and an extrapolation of their razor-sharp debut EXALAND. When you start looking at something from the end you sometimes find yourself back at the beginning. Zero is in the beginning of Exaland, and it is the beginning of the world they will create from now on.
