Ximo Noguera began his career as a DJ in 1991, drawn to the vibrant electronic music scene of the late 80s. His interest in EBM led him to explore other styles such as psytrance, breakbeat, electro, IDM, trip-hop, and minimal. His current repertoire spans from darkwave and industrial to experimental genres like drone, dark ambient, and advanced electronics. Track selection, technical skill, and an obsession with perfection are his primary attributes.
Industrial Complexx is his most ambitious project to date. Although he previously ran another record label, since 2019 his activity has been especially focused on this platform. Industrial Complexx is currently a cultural association that operates as a record label, publishing house, webzine, and event coordinator for activities linked to its mission. As a new initiative, it is launching a fanzine series titled Complejos Industriales, which combines current news, content of interest, and original stories, all presented from the project’s musical perspective.
His music has been released on labels such as NXT recordings, HC Records, ART21, Industrial Complexx, Volumens, and Soil Records. He has also published books on bands and artists including Esplendor Geométrico, Absolute Body Control, German Army, The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Hainbach, Nostalgie Éternelle, Opéra Multi Steel, Miclono, Atom™, Orphx, Javi Golo, and Ece Canli. Additionally, he is the author of ‘Lo que se nos pasó (detalles del industrial y experimental en España)’ (What We Missed: Details of Industrial and Experimental Music in Spain), a book that chronicles the history of the first artists and bands in the industrial and experimental genres that emerged in Spain between the late 1970s and early 1980s.
