David Meiser – Spacewalk (Terrence Dixon Hard Mix) [Subsist Records]
We recognise the Valencian label Subsist Records as one of the most important Spanish techno record labels, and we also think the same way about the Zaragozan producer David Meiser, as he is probably one of the most respected Spanish artists in this music circuit, however, both projects had never crossed paths until now. David Meiser is the new signing of Subsist Records, or what is the same, Subsist Records is the next label where Meiser will release his new work.
David Meiser debuts on Subsist Records with Dancing in the Dust, an EP of four tracks released on 12″ and with a style oriented to the dancefloor, although it should be noted that the sound is especially identifiable, as it is very reminiscent of the techno that this author produces, in fact, surely many who know his career identify this music with the silhouette of the artist, surely many are reminded of his live performances and his staging.
Dancing in the Dust reclaims the most purist and timeless sounds of techno, and tries to dissociate itself from current fashions. The EP consists of 3 original cuts and a «hard» mix by the legendary Detroit producer Terrence Dixon that takes him down an abstract path little traveled previously by himself.
Release date: October 6th, 2023.
