Sirio Gry J is known both for his artistic work as a DJ and producer, with various releases published since the early part of the last decade, and for his role running Monolith Records, a label carrying significant weight within the European industrial techno scene. His career is built upon a sonic vision that traverses the darkest and most mechanical territories of electronic music.

Sirio Gry J joins the Industrial Complexx catalogue with Severing All Ties, a new album that adds to his body of work and in which the Italian producer reveals a fully industrialized nature. It is a collection of eleven tracks sharing a common sonic blueprint, though within what we might call industrial, the album fragments into several distinct sonic environments. Above all, the artist demonstrates an extraordinary ability to diversify his sound across abyssal landscapes.

Severing All Ties is structured around three major sonic axes that coexist naturally throughout the record. On one hand, dark ambient serves as the backbone, unfolding dense and oppressive atmospheres in which its textures evoke decaying industrial spaces and a post-apocalyptic sense of solitude.

At the opposite end, in its most energetic dimension, rhythmic patterns emerge with relentless forcé, heavy hits, metallic percussion, and structures that advance with the overwhelming logic of an out-of-control assembly line. Here, Sirio Gry J demonstrates his command of industrial techno without surrendering for a single moment the rawness that defines his approach, achieving a balance between functionality and violence. Nevertheless, the album also finds room for more restrained rhythmic passages without abandoning the industrial aesthetic, though reducing the rhythmic pressure to foreground sonic layering and a certain mechanical introspection.

Severing All Ties’ is the descent into the silent chamber where the Self is stripped of all borrowed echoes. It is the blade turned inward, cutting away every imprint that veils the hidden core, for only through sacred abandonment does the true form rise – unbound, unmirrored, unafraid. To leave all behind is to enter the boundless.

It follows the wanderer who forsakes the comforting glow of familiar idols, choosing instead the exiled path of those who would rather fall into their own depth than rise on counterfeit wings. Like the shadowed radiance of the unspoken myth lingering beneath the surface of this journey, the key to sovereignty lies within the void left after every false tie has been severed.

Thus begins the rite of self-becoming, as a silent revolt against the unseen architecture that lulls souls into neglecting: in the ashes of all forsaken ties, the seeker rises as ruler of their own dominion.
