Deeplomat & Dublatov – Dream Dome [Volumens]
The current health situation has made it difficult for any festival to be held normally, but Volumens adapted to this circumstance with a series of audiovisual events. Volumens was redesigned as Reset, changing its name and its activity as an international festival of art, science and technology to offer more modest performances and activities in terms of number of attendees, but just as surprising and interesting.
In October, the Teatro Musical de Valencia hosted the first episode of Reset with guests such as Boris Divider, Murcof, with the visual work of Sergi Palau and Estrato Aurora & Maya with Tuerto VJ. In addition, there were round tables and to conclude, in November we were able to enjoy the performance of Oscar Mulero with the magnificent setting of the Ciutat de les Ciencies in Valencia in the background, and of course, with an extraordinary experimental set.
Volumens has already changed its venue in 2019, the setting and charm of the old town of Valencia was one of the great attractions in the first two editions of the festival, the combination of the location with the most avant-garde artistic disciplines gave the event a certain magic, but Volumens increased its proposal in terms of experiences and stimulation of the senses, and therefore required facilities more in line with this new direction. The festival renewed its philosophy in this third edition as a festival dedicated to sound and visual experimentation and research. Volumens grew and evolved as a scientific disseminator, as a festival whose aim is to facilitate the use and interpretation of the different technological tools and theoretical systems used in contemporary art.
Reset was born to remind us of the bad times humanity is currently experiencing and the need to create new habits in order to adapt to a new way of life. In this reconditioning emerges a new way of conceiving a festival and a new discographic proposal that dignifies the work of the artists who have passed through the different editions of Volumens.
Reset 2015_2020 is not a typical album, this release has carefully selected both established artists such as Francisco López, Boris Divider, Oscar Mulero and Murcof, as well as national producers, both sonically and visually. Therefore, the album is divided into 31 audio tracks and 17 audiovisual cuts, each one representing their own way of understanding this festival.
Release date: May 7th, 2021.
