IOM – Izkuturik ziren hitzak eztabaiden artean aurkitu ditut, baino soinurik ez dute egiten [Hedonic Reversal]
The Catalan label Hedonic Reversal surprised us quite a lot last year, first with the publication of Ascend, by the Belgian Orphan Swords, and later on, the great album by Huma, one of the managers of the label, so everything that comes from this project arouses great interest, and this time the surprise is in duplicate.
First of all we are pleased to have news again from Hedonic Reversal, the Spanish scene needs projects like this one, projects that take care of the material and that bet for the originality. And nothing makes us happier than talking about a project that matches our expectations and our tastes, as the next artist to be released with them will also be released shortly with Industrial Complexx, in this case with an album shared with B.F.E. Records.
Iker Ormazabal is the man behind IOM, a fairly longstanding project in which he signs an album, with a rather indecipherable title and with which he honours his homeland, in which everything revolves around the wide spectrum of sound that such a versatile musical genre as Industrial can provide.
Izkuturik ziren hitzak eztabaiden artean aurkitu ditut, baino soinurik ez dute egiten is an 11-track that shows the creativity and mutability of IOM in generating different sound projections within the same environment in which percussive elements are the most significant ingredient. Amplified, degraded or very well controlled saturation rhythm and a sound background that mixes part noise and part experimental.
Release date: December 10th, 2020.
