Uranium – Wormboiler [Sentient Ruin Laboratories]

The American label Sentient Ruin Laboratories is a record project designed to work with different bands and artists who base their style on radicalism and subversion, with genres as distant in their modus operandi, and at the same time as close in their sonic objective, as Black Metal and Powernoise. 

We know little about the project that is the protagonist of Sentient Ruin Laboratories’ next release, only what the label tells us in the press release, and we refer to it to talk about Uranium as an American band created to provoke confusion and terror, and to show the public the less friendly side of this society and of a human race that is heading towards the abyss because of all the bad decisions made during our existence. Its very name indicates that progress can give way to annihilation, and that we have not known how to evolve without risking the viability of this planet.

Wormboiler is Uranium’s official debut, prior to this album they had released a self-released EP which they add to this release. The Philadelphia band released The Glorious Void last May on their bandcamp account and now they join these four tracks with three others to complete the album. Seven cuts in total that represent a dark and hostile environment, with a radioactive abyss that does not allow the subsistence of any organism.
