Tremor – A Previous Encounter [Subsist Records]
Techno has always been the musical genre that has best defined Subsist Records as a project, this Valencian platform has championed this style since its beginnings, although from its first releases we also perceive that its line of action can be plural and progressive. Precisely, from this evolution over more than a decade, new influences have emerged that are more clearly glimpsed in recent years, one of them being the minimalism that mixes cosmic sound with techno.
The sci-fi sound emerges again on Subsist Records and, as usual, in extended format. The Scotish producer Tremor signs his debut album with 10 tracks in which he interprets different approaches within the same sound lineage. Luminosity is his main characteristic, the clarity with which we can appreciate every tiny detail combined with his great talent for creating complex harmonic developments.
Each cut is connected with the rest of the album, sonically they have many similarities although structurally they vary a lot in each track. We can appreciate how the author uses cadences that can be perfectly associated to different musical patterns, so the homogeneity of his sound is diversified with the heterogeneity of his rhythmic system.
Release date: March 1st, 2021.
