Abraxas / PanDemian

Abraxas is a totally independent and self-managed project halfway between harsh electronic music, philosophical reflection and socio-political activism. Its main goal is to shake bodies and minds by spreading messages of individual and social self-criticism from the point of view of duality, extremes and contradictions, inherent to the human being and capitalist society.

A reflection of the personality of its author, Demian Abraxas (aka We Are Not Brothers, PanDemian and Cançoner Industrial) that implicitly implies a deep process of self-knowledge and personal acceptance. A personal commitment to its creator in order to send highly impressive messages through music and a thunderous and caustic audiovisual live experience with more than 120 gigs since his début at Ombra Festival 2022.

Broadly speaking, we could include Abraxas visceral sound within electronic music with echoes of different styles and sub-styles wrapped in a modern discourse and a unique, current sound: electronica, techno, industrial and post-industrial, EBM and its more modern side Techno Body Music and, finally, more noisy and experimental sounds, enveloped in a certain cyberpunk influence and a dense darkwave aura. All them mixed, creating the new tags #HarshElectronics, #EBMetal y #TechNoise with a unique sound that hits in the face of those listening to it, especially in live.

PanDemian is the most casual and noisy face of the electronic artist Damià Llorens Picó. This AKA was born in the middle of the wave of Covid-19, after being invited to participate in the streaming festival Ruído Vírico during the first confinement due to the pandemic. As Pandemian, he enters a much more experimental, impro, noise and industrial dimension than in his alter egos Abraxas, We Are Not Brothers and Cançoner Industrial, displaying diametrically opposed live sets, in which, at times, he seats the audience and turns off the lights completely with the aim of amplifying the rest of the senses and submerging the audience in pure lysergic harsh noise; while other times he immerses them in a strobe journey with desynchronized beats to make them dance in a deconstructed way.
