Akustikkoppler – Alles Muß Raus [Block 4]
Although Akustikkoppler is a project that has been active for a little over a decade, its two members are veteran artists and great connoisseurs of the avant-garde music scene. This project is the result of the union of two avid minds: Malte Steiner, a German artist based in Denmark who launched his first references in the early 90s with his solo project Notstandskomitee and with the industrial music duo Das Kombinat, which he founded in 1989 together with Andrea Pritschow. The other half of Akustikkoppler is another German artist with a long career. Matthias Schuster, apart from releasing solo work from time to time, has also been part of long-lasting bands such as Geisterfahrer, founded in 1979, Bal Paré, which is a synthpop band formed in 1980, or other projects that also began in the early 1980s, such as Jeanette Und Das Land Z or Im Namen Des Volkes, Matthias Schuster’s first alter ego with which he debuted in 1980 with an EP of the same name and which he revived again in 2006.
Akustikkoppler releases their fourth album and this time, it is Malte Steiner’s label, Block 4, that is the platform to release this 10-tracker. Alles Muß Raus is inspired by the rough industrial and commercial environment of Schuster’s Hamburg studio and is produced with old and new equipment. The two artists combine past and future in a sparkling, shimmering darkness, full of punchy beats and keyboard-less electronica, although the music is very accessible and works well.
Malte Steiner and Matthias Schuster each brought their decades of electronic music production to create the album’s dark and surreal sound world. The tracks on Alles Muß RausIt were produced between 2008 and 2012, and have been remastered in 2021.
Release date: April 22th, 2022.
