DJ Guy – Unthank12 [Firecracker Recordings]

The Scottish label Firecracker Recordings recovers Unthank, sub-label that was released in 2013 with an EP by Bakey Ustl and that since 2017, with the release of the Australian album Rings Around Saturn, until today, has been inactive.

Lindsay Todd has been directing this Edinburgh-based label for 15 years, but it is this last stage when the platform has intensified its activity with sub-labels such as Shevchenko with Ukrainian producer Vakula as the main character, a project that anticipated Unthank as a second label associated with Firecracker.

Unthank adds its twelfth reference to its catalogue with a release by the British artist DJ Guy in which it offers an excellent diversity recital with 6 tracks, from downtempo to electronics, environmental textures or different techno concepts. Unthank12, in addition to being available in digital format, is also available in vinyl in a limited edition of only 25 copies, which seems to be already sold out.
