Morphoex – An imaginary being (Video Clips)
The artistic activity of the French producer Morphoex goes back almost two decades, a long musical trajectory influenced by experimental textures and transgressor sounds. From his first stage we must highlight several albums published in the extinct record company ÜNE (r)ecords, and in his most current stage we have seen him collaborate in one of the great contemporary projects of his country, the French label Tripalium Records, a platform that releases styles such as techno, experimental, industrial, dark ambient, breaks or acid. In 2017 he also released ‘Soviet System’, an album he signed on the British label Polytechnic Youth, owned by Dominic Martin, a great visionary who was previously in charge of other labels such as Enraptured, Earworm, The Great Pop Supplement and Deep Distance.
In the early days of 2019 Morphoex released An Imaginary Being, an album in which he develops an electronic style influenced by industrial and EBM, although the latter genre does not predominate as much as in other releases. This new album is much more subtle and evolved.
Although An Imaginary Being was released in January, after 6 months it’s newness again because Isthmael Baudry, which embodies Morphoex’s project, presents a series of videoclips of his own creation on some of the album’s tracks. Structure, Bettina and Metaphorical Movement are the tracks that the author has used to create these videoclips that are inspired by architecture as an elastic movement and its subliminal forms. Metaphorical Movement is the most recent of the three, Baudry presented it a few days ago.
