VVAA – MRG005 [Marguerite Records]
Marguerite Records investigates all those less conventional styles that tend to reside light years away from mainstream, any genre is susceptible to headline its references, which means that this project is open to diversity and variety of textures, mostly squeezed to certain limits.
Marguerite Records was born in 2015, its catalogue is not very extensive but it is descriptive enough to observe its development. The raw and experimental house was the first choice of the Italian label, but with each reference the platform has matured and shifted to other genres, and will continue to do so because the nature of this project is the continued expansion into new styles.
In just a couple of months difference Marguerite Records will launches two albums, an unusual case as we have always had to wait quite a bit longer to get news about their releases. Last March the fourth reference came out, a heterogeneous album, with 7 tracks of different artists without any connection between them that offer us several sound panoramas, with styles that oscillate between ambient, jungle, acid and electronic techno.
The fifth reference of Marguerite Records will be available in just a few days and has nothing to do with the previous issue. Unlike MRG004, this new album does maintain a uniform and more coherent line with styles derived from the post-punk scene as EBM or New Age. With this release, the Italian label confirms its ability to work with any transgressor genre that differs enough from the popular music scene.
Release date: June 27th, 2019.
