Smog – STUXXXXX [Tripalium Corp]

Paolo Combes, known artistically as Smog, emerged with this musical project in parallel to the creation of the Berlin collective oqko, of which he is a member and co-founder. One of the functions of this platform is to operate as a record label, which has been active since 2015 and precisely with a first release by Smog himself.

The style of this producer based in the German capital has not changed too much during these seven years, he is an artist who has dedicated his musical career to experimentation and sound research. His methodology is perfectly consolidated and focuses on the use of a formula based on the combination of electro-acoustic elements with both digital and analogue processing. This creative system expands their style towards a diversity in which influences from various musical genres converge.

After a release on Failed Units, he joins Tripalium Corp with a six-track mini-album that combines ethereal atmospheres, distorted metallic noise and fluttering nuances: from apocalyptic landscapes to mindfuck breakcore, a beautiful mix of experimental textures and complex rhythmic structures.
