In potential theory, the Poisson kernel is an integral kernel related to harmonic functions on the unit disk, integrated into numerous theories linked to quantum dimensions and problems in electrostatics. Its field of application, however, is not limited to theoretical physics, as the Poisson kernel also has a presence in computer science and in sound recording media.

It was this convergence between applied mathematics and sound technology that inspired Víctor Martínez, under his alias K3RN3L PØISSØN, to develop a working process based on the interaction of various sound syntheses with new tools (apps) within the iOS ecosystem and new software incorporating various Trackers. The exploration of these combinations, their timbral possibilities, and their behaviour across different processing environments forms the compositional core of this ten-track album.
