Espinoza‘s musical proposal is grounded in the use of noise as raw material, structures based on repetition, and a constant emphasis on bass frequencies. Their creative process incorporates experimentation as a method and live performance with modular synthesizers as the primary means of execution.

Lagunas de Ruidera is the work that encapsulates these lines of inquiry. The album comprises eight tracks, in which Espinoza explores different sonic approaches. Throughout the record, textures, densities, and timbral variations unfold, demonstrating a versatile use of the modular synthesizer. The techniques employed reflect a technical mastery of the instrument in various domains, both in parameter control and in the generation of diverse sound fields, as well as an aptitude for improvisation applied to these environments.

The album’s sound is distinguished by being raw, sharp, powerful, and also heterogeneous. However, in one of the passages, Espinoza reveals their skill by fusing granular textures, close to the most elementary noise, with a harmonic combination that evokes an atmosphere of artistic introspection. This moment contrasts with the effervescence that prevails in the rest of the work and acts as a parenthesis within the sonic discourse. This section is thus configured as a compositional respite that, without breaking the continuity of the whole, introduces a measured and deliberate contrast.
