Divine Shade – Stars

| | ,

Divine Shade is a rock band with variable geometry imagined by the musician, Ren Toner in 2014. The band possesses a combination of styles and influences inspired by cold wave culture with a touch of industrial and electronic music. Such musical influences include Nine Inch Nails, Young Gods and Gary Numan.

The French band released two Eps and several remixes with Chris Vrenna (ex Nine Inch Nails) and toured Europe three times in recent years. Divine Shade was the opening act for Gary Numan’s UK tour in 2022. It was during twenty concerts at iconic venues such as Wembley Arena in front of 12,000 people that the band confirmed their place on stage. During this tour Divine Shade performed live their new single “Stars”. The song’s theme is simple. It deals with the concept of our “inner child” that disappears with time. In the words of Rémi Thonnerieux: “I wrote this song to talk about the fact that love and endurance are the true ways to dream again”.

2022 has been a great new start for Divine Shade. “Stars” is their way of saying “Thank You” to everyone for this year’s success. The song will also be part of a big musical project to be announced in 2023. The track was produced by Ren Toner and features Shan Moue on additional vocals.

Release date: December 19th, 2023.
