JOHN 3:16 – Prince of Lies / King of the Night [Alrealon Musique]

Philippe Gerber has been behind various musical projects for more than two decades, from bands like Heat From A DeadStar to different collaborations with various renowned artists, however, it is worth mentioning Gerber’s work under his alias JOHN 3:16, although we should also include his contributions as Dj Phys, a nickname under which he has released some releases over the past decade.

Son más de dos décadas las que Philippe Gerber ha estado detrás de diversos proyectos musicales, desde bandas como Heat From A DeadStar a distintas colaboraciones con diversos artistas de renombre, no obstante, cabe destacar la labor de Gerber con su alias JOHN 3:16, aunque también deberíamos incluir sus aportaciones como Dj Phys, sobrenombre con el que ha publicado algunos lanzamientos durante la pasada década.

JOHN 3:16 is since 2008 his most prolific project and with which we remember the great album released in 2022 with Be The Hammer on Industrial Complexx. Philippe Gerber has once again signed a great album on the independent label Alrealon Musique under this alias.

JOHN 3:16 es desde 2008 su proyecto más prolífico y con el cual le recordamos el gran álbum publicado en 2022 con Be The Hammer en Industrial Complexx. Con este alias regresa para firmar un grandioso álbum en el sello independiente Alrealon Musique.

The Pact brings together a total of 9 tracks in which the American producer shows an enormous aptitude for combining different sound concepts such as industrial, post-metal or darkwave. The result is a conceptual work, with an epic and heartbreaking story, in which gloomy, disturbing and disconcerting landscapes emerge. An album that is undoubtedly ideal to understand the musical legacy of JOHN 3:16.

El resultado es una obra conceptual, con un relato épico y desgarrador, en el que afloran paisajes lúgubres, inquietantes y desconcertantes. Un álbum sin duda alguna idóneo para comprender el legado musical de  JOHN 3:16.
