Schkeuditzer Kreuz – Reinventing Axel F (Swan Grinder Remixed)

Following the successful completion of their second European tour, Industrial Synth Crust artist Schkeuditzer Kreuz, the pseudonym of New Zealand-born, Australia-based Kieren Hills, releases Schkeuditzer Kreuz is Reinventing Axel F (Swan Grinder Remixed). This remix collection serves as a companion piece to his third studio album, Swan Grinder, and precedes his upcoming Oceania tour.

This musical project defines itself as a post-apocalyptic hybrid, fusing the mechanical rawness of industrial noise with the organic energy of hardcore, crust punk, and D-beat. Described as Synth Crust Industrial and a human and some machines making noise, against everything, the project was born in the self-built cabin of Hills himself, located in Australia’s Blue Mountains, materializing sounds laden with anguish and desperation.

Reinventing Axel F features reinterpretations of seven of the eight original tracks from Swan Grinder by prominent international artists. Contributors include British industrial darkwave pioneers ATTRITION (with whom Hills collaborates live), Americans Distruster and Robert Inhuman representing anarko-breakcore, Siberian-Canadian experimentalist Alia of the Knife, and from Australia, the projects Hostile Architect (electro-industrial) and Mattblackshotgun (industrial-gabber). Schkeuditzer Kreuz himself closes the collection with his Missed Meds Mix of Poor Impulse Control.

Tras completar con éxito su segunda gira europea, el artista de Industrial Synth Crust Schkeuditzer Kreuz, seudónimo del neozelandés afincado en Australia Kieren Hills, lanza Schkeuditzer Kreuz is Reinventing Axel F (Swan Grinder Remixed), una colección de remezclas que sirve como complemento a su tercer álbum de estudio Swan Grinder y que precede a su próxima gira por Oceanía.

Esta propuesta musical se define como un híbrido post-apocalíptico que fusiona la crudeza mecánica del noise industrial con la energía orgánica del hardcore, crust punk y D-beat. Bajo descripciones como Synth Crust Industrial y un humano y algunas máquinas haciendo ruido, frente a todo, el proyecto nace desde la cabaña que el propio Hills construyó en las Montañas Azules de Australia, materializando sonidos cargados de angustia y desesperación.

Reinventing Axel F presenta reinterpretaciones de siete de las ocho pistas originales de Swan Grinder a cargo de destacados artistas internacionales como los pioneros británicos del darkwave industrial ATTRITION (con quienes Hills colabora en vivo), los estadounidenses Distruster y Robert Inhuman representando el anarko-breakcore, la artista experimental siberiano-canadiense Alia of the Knife, y desde Australia, los proyectos Hostile Architect (electro-industrial) y Mattblackshotgun (industrial-gabber).
