Louisahhh x Helsmoortel – Sugar & Violence [Artoffact Records]

From the union of two creative forces emerges Louisahhh x Helsmoortel. The rising star of the Juicy Gang Records label joins forces with vocalist and producer Louisahhh to bring to life an EP that is as electrifying as it is innovative.

Helsmoortel emerged a few years ago with releases on labels such as Avoidant, Brick Sweat, and Turmeric, through which he has forged a highly personal sonic identity. His music is a journey to his Belgian roots, where the punchy sound of new beat and 90s rave techno recombine with a contemporary philosophy.

On the other side of this project is Louisahhh, a New York-born artist based in France, known for her powerful voice and her dark, sensual take on techno and acid. For some time, she had been admiring Helsmoortel’s career from afar. The spark was ignited when Helsmoortel himself, recognizing an artistic synergy between them, proposed a collaboration.

The result of this meeting is a powerful and cohesive EP, the first in a trilogy to be released on Artoffact Records. As a preview, they released «What I Want» on July 4th, a first single that already showcased both artists’ qualities in fusing their talents.

De la unión de dos fuerzas creativas nace Louisahhh x Helsmoortel, la estrella emergente del sello Juicy Gang Records se alía con la vocalista y productora Louisahhh para dar vida a un EP tan electrizante como innovador.

Helsmoortel emergió hace unos pocos años con lanzamientos en sellos como Avoidant, Brick Sweat y Turmeric, con los cuales ha forjado una identidad sonora bastante personal. Su música es un viaje a sus raíces belgas, donde el contundente new beat y el techno rave de los 90 se recombinan con una filosofía contemporánea.

Al otro lado del proyecto está Louisahhh, artista neoyorquina afincada en Francia, conocida por su potente voz y su enfoque oscuro y sensual del techno y el acid. Durante tiempo, había seguido con admiración la trayectoria de Helsmoortel. La chispa se encendió cuando fue el propio Helsmoortel quien, reconociendo una sintonía artística entre ambos, le propuso colaborar.

El resultado de ese encuentro es un EP poderoso y cohesionado, el primero de una trilogía que se publicará en Artoffact Records. Previamente, el pasado 4 de julio lanzaron What I Want como adelanto, un primer sencillo en el que ambos artistas ya mostraban sus cualidades para fusionar sus talentos.
