Tazer – Taze Is The Rule [Hellektrokution R.]

Emerging from the Scandinavian cold with a sound rooted in industrial and EBM, Tazer carries in its DNA the legacy of giants such as Rammstein — yet far from confining itself to a reverential imitation, it forges its own identity, one that proves as distinctive as it is effective. The lineup operates as a precision machine, with six interlocking parts that, when turning in unison, generate an enormous amount of energy.

The sonic heart of Tazer beats with the forcefulness of the percussion, the tension woven through the synthesized lines, and the relentless rhythmic foundation of bass and guitar. Above it all, Oni X01’s voice is raw, visceral, and capable of shifting between a full-throated scream and a menacing whisper without ever losing the unsettling quality that sets him apart. The band currently consists of Calico InHell, Drumnibal and Oni X01.

Your Sins Will Taze You Out, the opening track of Taze Is The Rule, hints from its very first bars at the album’s energetic character. With the second track, the title track, the sense of fury intensifies, revealing the vigor and true personality of all ten songs. As the record progresses, the internal narrative of the project becomes increasingly apparent: the arc of the album moves through passages of pure rhythm, moments of direct confrontation, and stretches where tension accumulates, keeping the listener in a state of constant alertness. There is no comfortable relief, no melodic concession to soften the experience. By the end, Hellektroshot closes the cycle with the same resolve with which everything began.

Surgida del frío escandinavo con una propuesta que bebe del industrial y el EBM, Tazer lleva en su ADN la herencia de gigantes como Rammstein, aunque lejos de limitarse a una copia reverencial, construye una identidad propia que resulta tan reconocible como eficaz. La formación funciona como una maquinaria de precisión, con seis engranajes que al girar al unísono generan una enorme energía.

El corazón sonoro de Tazer late con la contundencia de la percusión, con la tensión generada con las líneas sintetizadas y con la implacable sección rítmica del bajo y la guitarra. Por encima de todo ello, la voz de Oni X01 se muestra áspera, visceral y capaz de oscilar entre el alarido y el susurro amenazante sin perder nunca la cualidad perturbadora que le distingue. Actualmente la banda está formada por Calico InHell, Drumnibal y Oni X01.

Your Sins Will Taze You Out, primer corte de Taze Is The Rule, ya deja entrever desde los primeros compases el carácter enérgico del álbum. Con el segundo corte, el que da nombre al álbum, la sensación de rabia se acrecenta y ya nos muestra la vigorosidad y la verdadera personalidad de las diez pistas. A medida que el registro avanza, la narrativa interna del proyecto se vuelve más evidente, dado que el recorrido del disco transita por zonas de ritmo puro, momentos de confrontación directa y pasajes donde la tensión se acumula, manteniendo al oyente en un estado de alerta constante. No hay alivio cómodo ni hay concesión melódica para suavizar la experiencia. Llegados al final, Hellektroshot cierra el ciclo con la misma determinación con la que todo comenzó.
